Dr. Bermudes, the founder of Empathy MindEd, is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience.

He specializes in innovative treatments for Major Depression, Bipolar Depression, and various anxiety conditions. In 2007m Dr. Bermudes founded a multi-state mental health company, specializing in services such as TMS, ESK/KET, Telehealth, E&M, ECT, and Psychotherapy. He completed combined residency training in Family Medicine and General Psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Bermudes is an expert in team building and collaboration, with extensive knowledge in market access and new technology and innovative treatment adoption. A published expert in interventional psychiatry, his consulting expertise includes Health IT, focusing on AI, patient experience, and EMR/EHR systems to enhance patient and clinician access to quality data for informed medical decision-making.

Maria is an e-learning designer with experience creating training programmes for corporate business, retail and academia, specializing in learner-centered approaches. A graduate of UCL's Education and Technology master's program, she has a deep understanding of what motivates adult learners and integrates this knowledge into her designs.

When designing a training solution for professional audiences, Maria emphasizes the importance of respecting learners' intelligence and previous experiences, ensuring they see the value of the training and how it will help them solve real-life issues and improve skills. Maria’s approach provides complex and realistic challenges during training to empower learners to draw conclusions and practice decision-making while learning, increasing intrinsic motivation and engagement with the material.

Maria developed Deep TMS 101 training, and is passionate about increasing awareness of Deep TMS, recognizing its potential as a solution for so many people who are suffering from mental health disorders.

At the intersection of learning design, leadership development, and generative AI, Kate is an edupreneur with a passion for sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and empowering others to cultivate their personal and professional growth.

An award-winning educator with deep knowledge of dynamics of organizational leadership across complex adaptive systems and an accomplished learning design and leadership development professional, Kate develops curriculum and competency-based learning journeys that leverage best practices in adult learning theory, leadership, and professional advancement.  Kate is a strategic talent development partner, collaborating cross-functionally with industry practitioners, executives, learning managers, and subject matter experts to design impactful, personalized, and multimodal learning experiences that advance the work of talent and leaders in organizations.

Recognized for her expertise in behavioral change management and responsible technology adoption, Kate cultivates digital literary skillsets and mindsets, guiding leaders and talent development practitioners to strategically position responsible generative AI adoption and diffusion within organizations.

Kate is also a faculty member and instructional designer, teaching courses and leading curriculum and program review initiatives, while sharing her insights through scholarly publications, conferences, and industry presentations on the synergies between human and machine capabilities in the future of work.
